Long have I watched the people of hyboria. I've seen them farm and practice their trade. I've seen them on their search for fame and glory. I have seen them band together with other heroes, and rise to power. But I have also seen the evil in their hearts. Hyboria is no Utopia, quite the opposite, it is a hell. A Place where dreams are smashed, a place where families are torn apart and children will never see their fathers again. Behind every virtuous soul is a evil lurking, waiting to clutch his heart. And behind every hero...is a dark heart, yearning for more power. In this land, nobility is not an option. The people of Hyboria band together under the pretenses to be noble..To vanquish the evil from the land. All the while they smile...but deep inside they yearn to take power, kill their leaders...even take their best friends wench. There is no such thing as a flawless soul...and Hyboria has a way of bringing out the flaws of man and woman. One day...some how...The cleanest soul will turn vile, just as the brightest fire will turn to ash.
In this, I present an offer. Give up your dreams of a noble life. Give up your dreams of settling down. In this life you will have no peace or love. You have but one choice, Kill or be killed. Join the few of us who are enlightented in the ways of Hyboria...who can see the land for what it is. I offer you no peace, I offer you no love, I offer you no sympathy.
